Our experience has been that, even when recommended by a physician, massage therapy is seldom covered by health insurance plans. However it is often an allowed expense for medical savings accounts and flexible spending accounts. We can provide a receipt indicating treatment codes and a diagnosis code if supplied by your physician. If you call your insurance company to inquire about coverage please be clear that you are receiving massage therapy services, not physical therapy.
