We do not submit insurance claims and are not affiliated with any provider group.
Our experience has been that, when recommended by a referring specialist i.e. physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. massage therapy is occasionally covered by health insurance plans.
We advise you call your insurance company to find out if you have massage therapy coverage, if so, what is the reimbursement protocol for out-of-network facilities. Please be clear that you are receiving massage therapy services, not physical therapy. Insurance companies who do reimburse typically require a medical diagnosis code.
If you have a diagnosis code from a referring specialist, we will include it, along with our treatment codes, on the medical receipt we provide.
If required, we are happy to provide treatment notes and payment history for your personal records. We will communicate directly with your insurer at their request only.
Our services are usually an allowed expense for medical savings accounts and flexible spending accounts.
