Kathie Guhl has been a pioneering practitioner of Energy Kinesiology since 1988, driven by a passion for helping others heal and a deep belief in the body's innate ability to restore balance and wellbeing. Her journey into this field began after years of struggling with fainting spells that conventional medicine couldn't resolve. When Energy Kinesiology finally provided relief and renewed vitality, Kathie was inspired to master this modality and share its benefits with others.
As co-founder of The BrainWave Organization and a former facilitator for Three In One Concepts, Kathie has made significant contributions to the field. She spent three years at The Richstone Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect in California, where her expertise in trauma across physical, emotional, spiritual, familial, mental and energetic levels was invaluable. Kathie's commitment to empowering others also led her to serve on the Board of Directors for The South Bay Center for Counseling.
Kathie's innovative spirit took her to Melbourne, Australia for two years to collaborate with child psychologists, a neurologist, and specialized kinesiologists. Together they developed balancing techniques to relieve dyslexia and learning difficulties in children and adults. This groundbreaking work reflects her philosophy that the body will heal itself if given the right support to overcome stressors and discord.
As the first woman to write in-depth classes in Energy Kinesiology, Kathie is a respected educator who has authored 20 unique workshops. She has held leadership roles as president of the Energy Kinesiology Association of the US (EnKA) and on the board of directors for the International Association of Specialized Kinesiology (IASK). Kathie continues to advance her knowledge through Zoom classes with global experts and by teaching her own courses in the US and Europe, where she learns from her students' insights and challenges.
In sessions, Kathie creates a safe, supportive space to identify and clear energy blocks, like a "translator" speaking the body's language. Clients can expect her to listen intently, act with integrity, and facilitate their body's self-healing to achieve outcomes such as:
- Improved learning ability and memory
- Enhanced creativity and emotional balance
- Greater overall wellbeing and self-esteem
Now based in Northern Virginia, Kathie balances her private practice in Arlington with teaching and enjoying time with her daughter. Outside of work, she loves reading, hosting dinner parties, and being near the water. Seeing the positive impact of her work, like a child's eyes lighting up with newfound confidence in school, keeps Kathie motivated to assist others in living healthier, more joyful lives.
