Schroeder is a two-year-old yellow Labrador working service dog partnered with Angelee Oh. Schroeder was trained by Hero Dogs, Inc. which is a local organization that improves the quality of life of our nation’s heroes by raising, training, and placing service dogs and other highly skilled canines, free of charge with lifetime support of the partnerships.

As defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), “service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.”

Schroeder's full time job is to assist Angelee in managing her disability, however, his presence benefits all of us at The Teal Center. He can be found peacefully taking up residence under a chair in Angelee's treatment room. If you see him in the halls, even though he is super cute, please admire and don't distract him while he's working.

More information about Service Dogs and the wonderful job they do to assist their handlers can be found at Schroeder's page is
