“Healing towards collective liberation” best describes Deanna’s approach in applying the healing arts to address the effects of living and surviving oppressive systems. Her aim is to alleviate the pain and stress that can collect and manifest in the body, and to boost the body’s natural inclination to heal itself, via deep tissue and Swedish massage techniques, and integrating myofascial release and biodynamic craniosacral therapy as determined by the client’s needs.

The profound experience of being present with each of her parents as they passed within two weeks of each other was the spiritual push that sent Deanna from a decades-long career in graphic design towards a sense of purpose in the healing modalities of massage therapy and biodynamic craniosacral therapy, as well as end of life doula care.

Deanna is a Licensed Massage Therapist in DC and VA; a graduate of the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage; has completed training in Myofascial Release Massage, upper and lower body; and is presently training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (expected graduation June 2026). She learned to ride a skateboard at age 50 and considers the skateboarding community her extended family.
